Situational Awareness

Situational Awareness is a state of mind that keeps us from harm. Let us give you the tools to remain safe and more aware of your surroundings. Our seminars are direct and informative, dynamic and entertaining, and overall the most information ever gathered on the subject.

Five Things That Compromise Your Safety

  1. Visible name tags outside of the workplace - When someone uses our first name we assume that we know the person. This could give someone an opportunity to come danger close.
  2. Announcing your plans or whereabouts on social media websites - This information is open to everyone you trust, PLUS everyone they trust. There is no possible way to know everyone who can access this information. For instance, if you comment that you are at the beach one might assume your house is empty and therefore a good target for crime.
  3. Announcing name and address at a department store checkout line - This should not be necessary. It provides too much of your personal information to those standing around you. If they need the information for your credit card, simply show them your ID.
  4. Programming your car's GPS to find "home" - If your keys are stolen or if you are car jacked, the criminal can easily find your house and potentially has the keys to everything in it. "Home" should be programmed to direct the driver to a near by police station. Your actual home address can be programmed as a favorite under a name that only you know.
  5. Not being able to see outside your front door - If someone rings the bell and you can't see who it is, they could easily be ready to push you inside. Installing wide-angle peepholes at eye level will allow you to see who is on the other side of the door.

These are just some of the things you will learn during our Situational Awareness seminar. Understanding your surroundings is the key to your safety.
